In the spring of 1993, four men at Texas Tech University established Kappa Upsilon Chi, a fraternity based on accountability, prayer, brotherhood and faith in Jesus Christ. Since the fall of 2005, when KYX was established at Florida State University, we have inducted over forty men into this brotherhood. Our secondary name Keeping Under Christ defines our mission to minister to young men at Florida State University, providing fellowship and discipleship between Christian men from many different denominations and campus organizations. By blending the close knit brotherhood of a fraternity with the unshakable faith we hold as brothers in Christ, we form a strong community of Christian men, seeking to be what the Lord calls us to be. We do this only with the help of our Savior Jesus Christ, and intend to glorify Him as we remain unconquered in our faith: "As iron sharpens iron, so one man sharpens another." - Proverbs 27:17.

We are proud to announce that on Sunday, April 9, 2011, four men were initiated as brothers of Kappa Upsilon Chi, Kappa Chapter. These four men are Steven Anderson, Stuart Brimner, Matt Sanderson and Kent Shader. We are grateful to have them as active members, and are looking forward to many years of Christian brotherhood with them. We also recognized 11 new Kappa Chi alumni who are graduating from FSU. Congrats to all!

Kappa Upsilon Chi at Florida State is proud to announce that the 2nd Annual Kappa Chi Turkey Fry philanthropy raised $1500 for Blood:Water Mission. We also raised $12oo for Blood:Water last year, bringing our 2-year total to $2700. Thanks to all who participated, and to FSU Wesley Foundation for hosting us this year!

We are proud to announce that on Sunday, November 21, 2010, twelve men were initiated into as brothers of Kappa Upsilon Chi, Kappa Chapter. They completed all pledgeship requirements and tasks with flying colors, averaging 92% on the comprehensive Pledge Test. These twelve men are Tyler Allender, Andrew Fisher, Luke Gilford, Vaughn Hendriex, Christian Horde, Zach Ledford, Andre Leonard, Levi Lewis, Tiebout McCrea, Matt McMullen, William Newton, and Ben Pearson. We are grateful to have them as active members, and are looking forward to many years of Christian brotherhood with them.

We are proud to announce that on Tuesday, September 14, 2010, twelve men were inducted into the Lambda Class of Kappa Upsilon Chi, Kappa Chapter. We are glad to include them in our brotherhood this semester, and wish them the very best as they begin the time of spiritual, social and educational preparation that comes with KYX pledgeship.
