At the beginning of each semester, KYX conducts a Rush Week, where we invite all brothers in Christ to come and check out our ministry and see what we are all about. Each night of Rush Week (except Wednesday night) we will be hosting a variety of events that will help you get to know us better and to decide if you would like to pledge KYX as part of the Eta Class. Immediately after Rush Week and Pledge Induction, you will become a pledge of Kappa Upsilon Chi. During your pledgeship (which lasts until your initiation at the end of the semester), you will take part in an intense time of spiritual, social and educational preparation for a successful time as a brother of Kappa Upsilon Chi. Your pledge semester will be memorable, demanding, and fun, as we exercise our fraternity motto: "As iron sharpens iron, so one man sharpens another." -Proverbs 27:17. Since Rush Week is the beginning of all this excitement, we would like you to come and check out what we have to offer.

Below is a detailed schedule of each night's events. Please note that the interview is the only required event; however, it is recommended that you attend the other events to get to know us better and to assist you in deciding if Kappa Upsilon Chi is right for you. For the interview, please contact Adam Burnside or any of the other officers to schedule a time on Saturday when you will be available. Monday, September 8th: Pre-Rush Informational Dinner Meeting at the BCM House, Starts at 6:30 p.m. We will tell you all there is to know about Kappa Upsilon Chi and why this may be an experience you want to take part of. We will provide the food from Shane's Rib Shack, all you need to do is just show up. There will also be a sign-up sheet available for you to attend church with one of the brothers on Wednesday night if you are not plugged in to a local church yet.
	Tuesday, September 9th: KYX 4th Bi-Annual Rush Week Ping Pong Tournament. 6:30 p.m. We will meet at the Christian Life Center at First Baptist Church of Tallahassee (108 W. College Ave.) at 6:30 p.m. and will have a battle of table tennis all-stars, as our President and 3-time champion Adam Burnside attempts to defend his title. We will have pizza and drinks for dinner, and afterward we will view George Clooney's masterful heist in a screening of Ocean's Thirteen!
Wednesday, September 10th: NO ACTIVITIES, due to Wednesday Night church bible studies and services. We take part in the local church and do not want to get in the way of your involvement in a church and going to Bible Study, so Wednesday we will have NO events. However, make sure to come by the Student Union because we'll have some of the brothers hanging out around there at a Market Wednesday table from 10 AM - 2 PM.
	Thursday, September 11th: KYX Meets at Edge Cafe, Knights for Him and $1 Bowling - You don't want to miss this day! We will be eating at Edge Cafe at the BCM House at 12:30 PM. Join us for a meal with the folks at the BCM. Later on, we will be kicking off our weekly worship services on Landis Green by hosting the first Knights for Him at 8:00 pm. After we are finished with the service, we will strike out to Crenshaw Lanes for a night of $1 bowling.
Friday, September 12th: Barnyard Boogie - Sharpen your spurs and make a trip to Perry for that cowboy hat you've always wanted, because Friday is the time for our Barnyard Boogie with the lovely ladies of Delta Alpha Chi! We will meet at First Baptist Church on 108 W. College Ave. and will be carpooling (save on gas!) to the country for a night you will never forget. Meet at First Baptist Church at 6:30 PM.
	Saturday, September 13th: INTERVIEWS. Interviews will be done at First Baptist Church of Tallahassee, 108 W. College Ave. in the Christian Life Center. The interview times will be available for 24 hours, so please call and schedule an interview. Please dress in formal attire and be prepared to share your testimony. This is MANDATORY for pledgeship with KYX, since we will need to get to know you better before offering a pledgeship bid.
