At the beginning of each semester, KYX conducts a Rush Week, where we invite all brothers in Christ to come and check out our ministry and see what we are all about. Each night of Rush Week we will be hosting a variety of events that will help you get to know us better and to decide if you would like to pledge KYX as part of the Iota Class.

Immediately after Rush Week and Pledge Induction, you will become a pledge of Kappa Upsilon Chi. During your pledgeship (which lasts until your initiation at the end of the semester), you will take part in an intense time of spiritual, social and educational preparation for a successful time as a brother of Kappa Upsilon Chi. Your pledge semester will be memorable, demanding, and fun, as we exercise our fraternity motto: "As iron sharpens iron, so one man sharpens another." -Proverbs 27:17. Since Rush Week is the beginning of all this excitement, we would like you to come and check out what we have to offer.

Below is a detailed schedule of each night's events. Please note that the interview is the only required event; however, it is recommended that you attend the other events to get to know us better and to assist you in deciding if Kappa Upsilon Chi is right for you. For the interview, please contact Adam Burnside or any of the other officers to schedule a time on Saturday when you will be available. Please dress in formal attire for the interview and be prepared to share your testimony. Also join our rush group on Facebook and fill out our Fall Rush Information Form to receive more information.

	Sunday, September 13th: Sunday Night Worship with Delta Alpha Chi Christian Sorority at First Baptist Church starts at 8:15 pm - Join us for an awesome time of worship at First Baptist Church on 108 W. College Avenue. This is a weekly event and is a great way to meet all the guys (and the ladies of Delta Chi) before Rush Week officially begins. Bring your friends, you will not want to miss this time of worship and prayer!
Monday, September 14th: Rush Info Dinner Meeting starts at 7:00 pm - We're meeting on campus, and we will tell you all there is to know about Kappa Upsilon Chi and why this is an experience you want to take part of during your college years. We will provide food from Chick-fil-a, all you need to do is just show up and listen.
	Tuesday, September 15th: KYX 6th Bi-Annual Rush Week Ping Pong Tournament starts at 7:00 pm - We will meet at a location on campus and have a battle of table tennis all-stars, as all comers will have the chance to take on our President and 5-time KYX Bi-Annual Rush Week Ping-Pong Tournament Champion Adam Burnside to steal away the coveted green jacket. The winner of the green jacket will be allowed to wear it at all formal, induction and initiation events. There will be pizza and drinks, too.
Wednesday, September 16th: Market Wednesday and Late Knights for Him - Stop by our table in the Oglesby Union between 10 am - 2 pm, we'll be there with more information about Kappa Upsilon Chi as a ministry. Later that night, we will kick off a new rush week tradition called Late Knights for Him, where we will have worship and prayer under the stars on Landis Green at 10:00 pm.
	Thursday, September 17th: Free Bowling at Crenshaw Lanes starts at 8:00 pm - We will meet at the on-campus bowling alley, Crenshaw Lanes for a few hours of free bowling courtesy of the fraternity. This is a great time to informally get to know the brothers and your future pledge brothers, and to dominate all the bowling competition!
Friday, September 18th: Barnyard Boogie with Delta Alpha Chi - Get ready to boot scoot, because Friday night is our annual Barnyard Boogie with the ladies of Delta Alpha Chi! We will meet at First Baptist Church on 108 W. College Ave. and will ride buses out to the country for a night of fire and fun. Meet at First Baptist Church at 6:30 PM. If you can't make it by 6:30, contact one of the brothers for special arrangements, because you won't want to miss the Barnyard Boogie!
	Saturday, September 19th: INTERVIEWS - Interviews will be done at First Baptist Church of Tallahassee, 108 W. College Ave. in the Christian Life Center. The interview times are available for 24 hours all day Saturday, so please call or e-mail Adam and schedule an interview. Please dress in formal attire and be prepared to share your testimony. This is MANDATORY for pledgeship with KYX,  as your interview will largely determine whether or not you are offered a bid.
Sunday, September 20th: Formal Rush - After a successful interview, you will be formally invited to rush KYX, and will be expected to attend a formal rush dinner with the brothers at 6:30 pm. This is to show you that we value our soon-to-be Iota Class, and want to make you feel comfortable and welcome as you begin the process of joining KYX. Please wear formal attire.
	Monday, September 21st: Pledge Induction -More details will be provided about location and time once you successfully complete your interview and receive your pledgeship bid, but clear your schedule for this Monday night if you are interested in pledging  Kappa Upsilon Chi.
